OUR STORY

In 1994, the Elder family opened their first auto repair shop in Denver, Virginia Village Texaco, located on the corner of Florida Ave. and Holly St. Eventually outgrowing the original 3 bay gas station; a move to a larger 7 bay shop was made in 2005. Elder Auto opened on Asbury Ave. Again our business quickly grew and in 2013 it was time for a move to a larger auto repair facility with 15 bays. Today, our business continues to thrive, and we now offer an extensive range of automotive repair services at our new location at 5555 E. Evans Ave.

RAMON

Ramon is our hands-on Owner; he has set high standards for customer service, integrity and quality repairs. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with the customers and technicians. Ramon likes to show and tell the repairs with the customers, because he believes an educated customer is a return customer. He has been in the automotive business for over 35 years, 20 of those years as an independent repair shop owner. It started as a crazy love for cars or anything that moved with an engine, as a kid he loved to build his own go-carts. Now owning his own shop allows him to pursue his love of old cars and hot rods.

GLORIA

Gloria also known as Ramon’s other half, handles the administrative duties of the shop and office. She enjoys the challenges of making an independent family owned shop a successful business; from learning new ways of marketing and reaching out to new and current customers, to bookkeeping and budgeting.

TOM J.

Tom J. is our Shop Manager and more, he puts in many hours actively working on cars. He has over 45 years experience in the automotive business. Tom is over 41 years ASE certified and one of the top alignment specialists in Denver. He is also very knowledgeable in brakes, suspension & chassis. He enjoys the auto repair industry because he has always been interested in cars.

Customer Service

Craig is our Parts Manager always on the go, from tracking inventory to picking up parts. He is also our friendly courtesy shuttle driver and prides himself on offering the best possible customer service. Craig came to work in the family business with over 17 years previous experience as a customer service specialist. He enjoys the automotive business because it is a constantly changing environment and his favorite part of shuttling is talking to and getting to know the customers.

Ken is our energetic Service Advisor qualified to explain recommended repairs and offer advice. He has over 12 years experience in the industry. Ken is knowledgeable in tires and customer service, paying very close attention to listening and handling customer’s car repair requests in a timely manner. He enjoys working with the public and helping people, as well as working with the different skill levels of the technicians.

Gerard is an experienced Service Advisor with extensive knowledge in auto maintenance. He is our newest addition to Elder Auto and has over 16 years experience as an advisor, as well as a mechanical background. He has the ability to explain the repairs and the reason behind them. Gerard likes working in the automotive industry because he is mechanically inclined and loves sharing his knowledge.

Angel is our knowledgeable front office customer service rep in the mornings. She has 17 years of previous experience in the auto body industry, auto dealer, administration and customer service. Angel is here to assist you with all your customer service needs, scheduling and billing. She loves working with the public and making their visit an enjoyable one. She likes that she learns something new every day in the automotive business.

 

Service Technicians

Phil is our Certified Master Technician with over 30 years experience in the auto repair business. He is skilled in diagnostics, air conditioning service, and electrical for both Domestic and European cars. His love of fixing cars comes from his Dad who owned a gas station and he was always there learning, it’s in his blood.

Leroy is our lead General Service Technician with over 7 years experience in the automotive industry. He is top in his knowledge of preventive maintenance with certifications in brake repair and under-hood maintenance. Leroy likes the challenge of learning new things to add to his experience, such as currently training to do auto alignments. He is very helpful in educating the customers about their automotive maintenance needs.

Peter is an ASE Certified Master Technician with 10 years of experience. He is skilled on all types of vehicles, but specializes in European cars and excels in electrical diagnosis and repair. There are two things that Peter enjoys most about working at Elder Auto, one is the ability to diagnose vehicles with issues that other auto repair facilities or dealers fail to diagnose and fix properly; and also working on unique or rare vehicles that just so happen to come through our bay doors.

Chase started in the automotive industry when he was 16 years old changing tires and has continued to gain more experience for over 15 years. He can work on just about anything, Domestic, European, Diesels and other Imports. Chase is ASE certified and has the knowledge and skills to do most all vehicle repairs. He also has 2 years of service writing experience. His “take on anything” attitude shows he likes challenging problems or vehicles that others may struggle with; and that really makes the brain think.

Alex is our youngest technician in the shop; he loves everything about cars since he was a young boy. Alex would spend hours in his dad’s garage experimenting on his cars. Even though his father wasn’t happy with some of the mistakes he made fixing cars, he gained valuable experience. He is a very knowledgeable General Service Technician, efficient in all vehicle maintenance. Alex especially likes working on engines and suspensions. He enjoys learning from other technicians, but is most satisfied when he solves a problem he has never had before with a vehicle by himself. He loves his job because it constantly challenges him and improves his skills.
